Palmiers






Ingredients

  • 140g ready-rolled puff pastry
  • 25g caster sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon

Preparation method

  1. Preheat the oven to 220 ÂșC.
  2. Unroll the pastry and brush with water.
  3. Mix the sugar and cinnamon together in a bowl, then sprinkle over the pastry to lightly cover.
  4. Fold in both of the long ends of the pastry so that they meet in the middle.
  5. Brush with more water and sprinkle with more of the sugar mixture.
  6. Fold the pastry over again and slice 1cm/½in slices and place on a baking tray.
  7. Place in the oven and bake for ten minutes, or until cooked through.

Tip: Instead of the water solution, you can sprinkle the sugar and cinnamon, and press it lightly with a rolling pin onto the pastry.
