Pão de Queijo
Ingredients
- 480 ml Milk
- 200 g Butter
- 500 g Sweet Manioc Starch (Polvilho Doce)
- 1 tbsp Salt
- 3 Eggs
- 200 g Cheese (any, Parmesan, Cheddar ..)
Procedure
- Bring the milk and butter to a boil
- Mix the starch and salt, and pour the boiled mixture (not too hot).
- Stir with a wooden spoon and form a dough.
- Leave it to cool a bit (still warm at touch)
- Add the eggs, one at a time.
- Add the cheese.
- If the dough is not too firm at this stage, you can leave it in the fridge for a while.
- Make small sized balls and put in the oven at 180ºC until golden brown. (aprox. 15 to 20mins)
