Pão de Queijo






Pão de Queijo

Ingredients


  • 480 ml Milk
  • 200 g  Butter
  • 500 g  Sweet Manioc Starch (Polvilho Doce)
  • 1 tbsp Salt
  • 3 Eggs
  • 200 g Cheese (any, Parmesan, Cheddar ..)


Procedure

  1. Bring the milk and butter to a boil
  2. Mix the starch and salt, and pour the boiled mixture (not too hot).
  3. Stir with a wooden spoon and form a dough.
  4. Leave it to cool a bit (still warm at touch)
  5. Add the eggs, one at a time.
  6. Add the cheese.
  7. If the dough is not too firm at this stage, you can leave it in the fridge for a while.
  8. Make small sized balls and put in the oven at 180ºC until golden brown. (aprox. 15 to 20mins)
